RJA provided civil engineering and surveying services for the Alameda County Surplus Property Authority for the widening and relocation of the Arroyo Mocho and Arroyo Las Positas channels to mitigate and alleviate the impact of potential flooding in the area.
The scope of work included the widening and relocation of approximately 3,500 LF of the Zone 7 Arroyo Mocho and Arroyo Las Positas channels, the construction of two bridges and multiple concrete fish ladders along the channels.
The design required extensive coordination with Zone 7 Water Agency, the Regional Water Quality Control Board, the Army Corps of Engineers, the California Department of Fish and Game, and the cities of Pleasanton and Livermore.
