Located on a 48-acre industrial parcel in Gilroy, United Natural Foods needed to quickly gain all approvals and build a 430,000-square foot distribution facility with over fifty loading docks and a 700-stall parking lot. The fast-paced project also required bridges and roadway extensions.

RJA was responsible for entitlement processing, civil engineering, and land surveying for a large distribution facility. The plan included more than 50 loading docks and large truck receiving and holding areas. RJA’s services included the site grading and design for a paving, docks, employee parking lot, two roadway extensions with bridges, and extensive utility/fire infrastructure to service the site.
PROJECT RESULTSOn an extremely accelerated schedule for project approvals, design, permitting, and construction, all deadlines were met and the project was entitled, designed, and constructed in under two years.
