A Pedestrian and Bicycle Bridge With More than 5,000 Feet of Trail

At one of the City of Livermore’s major intersections, a dangerous pedestrian trail crossing needed a pedestrian and bicycle bridge overpass to connecting existing trail facilities with upgrades to the existing trail.

RJA provided civil engineering and surveying services for a clear span bridge and approximately 5,000 feet of asphalt paved trail along the existing creek corridor, grading and drainage design, traffic control plans, construction support, and construction staking.

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
PROJECT RESULTS

Today, this 5,100 linear feet multi-use trail provides pedestrians and cyclists with safe passage and also serves as a maintenance access road for the adjacent drainage channel.
